Particle Physics 2 - Quantum Chromo-Dynamics (QCD)

  • Lectures given in the 2nd semester of the common master program
  • The lectures are given on Tuesdays and Fridays between 09:00 and 13:00 at UvA
  • The course is given together with Mara Senghi Soares who focuses on the CP part
  • Prerequisites
    • Subatomic physics (bachelor)
    • Introduction to QFT
    • Particle Physics 1

• Grading scheme
  • The course has significant homework that allows you to get max 1.5 bonus points
  • The final grade is estimated as the maximum between the final exam and the weighted average of the final exam and the homework with 85%-15% weight, respectively.
